Travel Trade Services

In addition to the resources provided, the Louisiana Office of Tourism offers a variety of services to assist media, including:

• Planning and arranging FAM Tours
• Providing introductions and coordinating arrangements with local convention and visitors bureaus
• Assisting in destination development and research
• Providing photography
• Providing field assistance for groups or individuals with special needs or circumstances

If you are planning to visit Louisiana, we will need information about you to establish your credentials and help coordinate your needs with visitor bureaus, attractions, hotels and restaurants. A letter of project from your tour and travel company is very useful as we make arrangements on your behalf with hotels, restaurants and attractions.

Ground transportation and escort within Louisiana can sometimes be provided, depending on circumstances. We work with local visitor bureaus to satisfy needs for travel and transportation,as well as overnight accommodations, entry to attractions, and product development. We do everything we can to make your job and your visit as pleasant as possible.

You will be best served if you allow time for our office and state partners within the Louisiana travel industry to adequately prepare for your visit. In areas such as requests for photography and video, we ask for advance notice if possible. What you need may not be on hand in some cases, and extra time to research and locate the photography and video you request may be required.

The Louisiana Office of Tourism maintains an extensive library of images from across the state. A selection of available images can be viewed below, organized by the state’s three marketing regions: North, Central, and South regions in Louisiana.

Once you have selected the images and videos you would like to receive, please contact Margot McNeely. Please include:

• name of the inquiring outlet or company
• Company or destination package/brochure overview/information
• filename(s) of the image(s) being requested
• deadline for receiving requested images (allow for up to 72 hours to fulfill request)
